Senior Benefits Analyst
We currently have a
Senior Benefit Analyst position open in our Columbia, Maryland, office. This person will assist the Account Team in servicing the benefit consulting needs of our clients and will have the skills to be able to advance into the Consultant role.
Responsibilities include:

Promptly and accurately responds to clients requests through utilization of technical expertise in the benefits field.

Administers marketing and renewal functions including preparation of requests for proposals.
·
Reviews contracts, summary plan descriptions, agreements, etc., for accuracy.
·
Prepares and submits client utilization and financial reporting to the consultant and client.
·
Assists Account Manager in identifying, planning and developing methods and procedures to obtain greater efficiency and effectiveness for the benefit programs.
·
Keeps abreast of changing market conditions and innovations in the industry.
·
Special projects as assigned which includes involvement in presentations, client functions and meetings.
Requirements:
·
5+ years in an insurance-related industry or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
·
Currently licensed in Life/Accident and Health Insurance.
·
Exceptional knowledge of all lines of benefits.
·
Good oral and written communication skills.
·
Ability to independently make accurate decisions and demonstrate good judgment.
·
Strong attention to detail.
·
Able to work in a collaborative, team-oriented manner, fostering empowerment and ownership for service quality.
·
Good keyboard and PC skills using word processing and spreadsheet software, familiarity with various software applications and the ability to learn new software systems.
