How Do I access the Hays Companies Secure Messaging Portal
If this is the first time you have accessed the portal, you will be prompted to create a password (keep the password safe and confidential). This single password will allow you to send and receive secure emails from the entire Hays Team. The system will also ask for a reminder question that gives a hint to you as it relates to your personal password.
You can also Click on the first time users "click here" to create your account (below on right) to set up a password.
Once a password has been created, you have access to the ZixCorp Secure messaging system.
Can Mail be saved out of this Hays portal?
How does a recipient save a message from the Zix secure mail portal to their own system?
You can login and open a received message, then you can click on ‘More Actions’ and save the message and attachments to a zip or text file. You can then save this file to your network.
Saving a message as a text file
You can save messages that you have received from or sent to the Secure Message Center as a text file. You can then keep a copy of the message, even after it expires and has been removed from your Inbox.
NOTE: When saving a message as a text file, the UTF-8 character set is used. UTF-8 is a commonly used character set encoding that enables messages in different languages to be saved in a text file
To save a message as a text file:
- From the Inbox or Sent Mail tab, select the Subject link to open the message that you want to save.
- Select the arrow next to the More Actions drop-down field.
- Select Save message as a text file.
NOTE: you can only save the message, not attachments, using this method. If you would like to save an attachment along with the message that contains it. - Click Go.
- Follow the Internet browser instructions to save the file to a location you specify.
Saving Messages and Attachments
You can save messages with attachments that you have received from or sent to the Secure Message Center as a .zip file. You can then keep a copy of the message and attachment, even after it expires and has been removed from your Inbox.
To save a message and its attachment:

- Click Go.
- Follow the Internet browser instructions to save the .zip file to a location you specify.
What do I do if I forget my password or want to change it?
Click on the link from your email to access the portal normally or click on this link.
In both cases you will be presented with an option to change your password or Forgot your password. Forgot your password will send an email reminder (hint) to help you remember. If you can’t remember your password click on the change Password and Fill out the information below and click on the submit password button.
You will get the following notice to check your regular email.
You will get a confirmation email to accept the new password or decline.

What are the password requirements for Zix?
Do I need a mail box/login for every Hays Team member or Email I receive?
No. Once you have a Hays Portal login all secure Hays correspondence will be sent to that box.
Can I send Hays Secure mail using my Hays Mail box?
Yes. You can reply, compose secure message to anyone securely via secure mail. Just compose a message and address it to a valid e-mail address and you can communicate securely.
Can I send an attachment securely using the same mailbox?
Yes, simply click the ‘Attach File’ button in the interface to attach a file to the outgoing email.
