  • Coordinate activities with insurers, both foreign and domestic, for any issues that arise in the adjustment of a property claim or the management of a claim involving complex litigation

Claim Advocacy and Consulting Services

Casualty Claims

  • Always serve as your advocate
  • Ensure notification to all appropriate levels of insurance
  • Coordinate retention of defense counsel acceptable to insurer
  • Confirm litigation status reports are sent by defense counsel to the insurer in a timely manner and are compliant with Litigation Management Guidelines
  • Resolve issues regarding administration and billing between defense counsel, and the insurer
  • Participate as required in conference calls or meetings between insurers, counsel and the client to address any problems or issues as they arise
  • Evaluate exposure presented to determine appropriate policies (primary, umbrella, and excess) to be notified and proceed to notify as appropriate
  • Work to resolve issues that arise regarding coverage and/or financial exposure

Advocacy for Coverage Disputes

  • Determine coverage issues giving rise to a dispute and analyze the subject policy wording
  • Work with you to develop a comprehensive strategy to approach insurers to resolve the dispute
  • Act as your advocate to present arguments for coverage with the claims representatives for the insurer involved
  • Solicit the involvement of underwriters placing the coverage to present arguments for coverage under the policy wording
  • Involve the insurer’s executive management team as indicated or required to aid in negotiating a resolution
  • Provide access to qualified coverage counsel to explore prospects and likely outcome of policyholder litigation against the insurer
