In June of 2020, Hays Companies Vice President and Construction Practice Leader, Justin Gillette, CRIS, CSP, was elected to serve on the Board of Directors for the Minnesota Subcontractors Association (MSA).
Through Gillette’s previous experience as a construction risk manager, he saw firsthand the importance of MSA in the construction industry, including how the non-profit trade association represents special contractors and suppliers in the construction industry by focusing on safety, education and legislation reform. When Gillette moved from a construction risk manager role to Hays in 2018, he actively advocated for Hays to join the Association.
“MSA is a critical part of the construction industry in Minnesota, and I’m excited to use both my industry experience and board experience to be a part of growing the MSA and helping to ensure that it continues to be a valuable resource for its members for decades to come, “ Gillette said. “The contractors and suppliers represented in MSA have been a critical part of our nation’s economy, and the careers that they create benefit our communities. It is important to me to do my part in supporting these businesses.”
In his role on the board, Gillette will contribute to MSA’s continued efforts to represent Minnesota’s subcontractors as the group achieves results, creates an equitable environment for subcontractors, builds community through membership, and raises awareness and knowledge of members, legislators, and the construction industry.
