Sara Hames, Vice President at Hays Companies in Milwaukee, will speak at the 38th Annual International Society of Certified Employee Benefit Specialists (ISCEBS) Symposium in September on disrupting health care through high-value providers.
The ISCEBS Symposium, which will be hosted in New Orleans, is one of the largest gatherings of credentialed benefit and compensation professionals. Attendees represent organizations in the employee benefits space including health care organizations, insurance companies, investment and administration firms, jointly trusteed and public employee benefit plans, and consulting firms. The Symposium will include a variety of sessions presented by industry experts.
Sara’s session will focus how to disrupt health care through a combination of self-funding, direct contracts, bundled pricing, medical tourism, telemedicine, Medicare-based pricing, care navigators and on-site clinics to offer a health plan that is attractive and sustainable. Attendees will learn more about the root problems with our current health care delivery systems, strategies to disrupt health care to better serve employers and members, and how to engage members to make them happier, more-informed consumers.
At Hays, Sara is responsible for health plan consulting, focused primarily on the development and execution of health plan strategies, wellness initiatives and employee engagement. She has extensive experience in working with both self-funded and insured health plans, as well as a wide variety of ancillary benefit programs including employee advocacy, wellness and on-site clinics. In addition to servicing several clients, Sara assists other teammates with strategies like direct contracting, bundled pricing, medical tourism and on-site clinics.
